How to Choose Your Shirt's Fabric
Choosing your shirt's fabric is an important step of designing your custom Gavroche dress shirt. We've summarized below the most important information about fabric selection. Because all our fabrics are solely constructed from the finest cottons, your selection should be based on your personal preference only.


Plain, Semi Solid, Stripes, Checks
Plain fabric Semi solid fabric Striped fabric Checked fabric, aka plaids
Plain Semi Solid Stripes Checks / Paids

White poplin, blue twill, stripes or checks, this is truly a matter of preference. This author strongly feels that every wardrobe should have at least one of each.

How can I find out the scale of the patterns? All the pictures of our fabrics are as close as we could get them to actual size. This is the size of the pattern if one were to place the cloth on the computer monitor.


Choosing Your Fabric Style
Popeline fabric End on end, aka fil a fil Twill fabric Herringbone, aka chevron
Poplin
is a simple, tightly woven cloth that is very common in dress shirts.
  
End on End
is similar to a poplin but is woven from two different colors for an interesting look.
 
Twill
is characterized by its diagonals and shine. This is a very smooth and elegant cloth.
 
Herringbone
is a pattern that gives a smooth depth to your shirt. Also known as Chevron.
 
Oxford fabric Pinpoint fabric    
Oxford
is a breathable basket weave. It is usually used for casual shirts.
 
Pinpoint
is essentially a finer oxford. It is lighter and smoother than its sibling.
